 This class is perfect for anyone who wants to learn how to sew. Whether you are a complete beginner or you have some sewing experience, this class will give you the skills you need to start sewing your own clothes and accessories.

The Class will cover:

1) Reading and Measuring:

Read a sewing pattern.

Measure your body and adjust the pattern to fit you.

Cut your fabric to size.

Pin and construct the cut pieces.

Make  basic adjustments to garments, such as darts and shoulder seams.

2) Patterns and Fabrics

Basics of Yardage and Fabric type

Choose the right fabrics and notions for your project

Order Fabric and care for it properly.

Getting Started

You will need:

Scissors: A larger pair for cutting fabric and a small pair for snipping threads. I am a big fan of electric scissors. They are available from Amazon.com

Ball Point Pins for making clothes.

Extra long Pins for Quilting.

Box of Safety Pins (Medium or Large) for Quilting.

Pin Magnet (Circular not Pin Cushion).

Pattern.
