Gather Your Sewing Supplies

  • Everything you need for your  class

  • Multipurpose sewing needles. Depending on what you are sewing there are different needles to sew different fabrics.
  • Chalk or pencil for marking fabric. You can also use a small bar of soap if your fabric is a dark color
  • Seam ripper
  • Scissors. A good sharp pair can be expensive but is worth the investment.
  • Measuring tape
  • A good steam iron and board
  • Cutting board if you don’t have a large surface table that will accommodate you laying out your fabric
  • Graph paper and clear tape (I use this to adjust my patterns)
  • Pins. I prefer the long pins that come with a magnet that holds them (Stepping on a needle is not fun)
